Glentress Forest Walks

The Glentress Forest Red Squirrel Walk follows along the forest's edge taking in spectacular views over the Tweed Valley.

The walk climbs to a high point on Cardie Hill, where there are the remains of an Iron Age hillfort. The walk returns through the magnificant Douglas Fir stand and alongside the ponds.

The Red Squirrel Walk can be started from Red Squirrel Car Park in Glentress Forest which is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders.

The car park is one and a half miles east of Peebles on the A72

Follow the signs to the Red Squirrel car park.
